School Reports
Above is a school report from my primary school, the first term of Junior 1. Throughout my reports the phrase that is written the most is 'Gae is working fairly well'. What does that mean? Also what does 'very fair' mean? Does it mean 'very fair' as in only just 'fair' or 'very fair' meaning nearly 'good'? I don't know.
Sister Marie has put that I am 'too slow. She is not dull'. Well that's a relief that I'm not dull. It also complains in one report that I have a good imagination but day-dream too much, which seems a bit contradictory to me.
Onto a completely different topic which some of you may find interesting. One of Sutton's claims to fame is that in the early 1970s Sutton could boast the most advanced transport system in the world - the hovertrain. This revolutionary train, powered by linear induction motors, was tested on a one mile length of monorail track constructed on the far side of the Old Bedford River at Sutton Gault. The track has been dismantled but some traces still remain. The experimental train, named RTV31 is now exhibited at the Railworld Museum in Peterborough.
Below is a link to a Youtube video telling you about the hovertrain.
Back to recipes for the next blog or maybe my greenhouse if has arrived!
