Derbyshire
Kim and I had a lovely weekend at Monsal Head, Derbyshire. We drove up at lunch-time on Friday and got there in time to have a good walk and supper in the pub. The Hawthorne blossom was everywhere and reminded me of the how white everything must have looked under the snow this winter. It was however a lovely summery weekend and very relaxing. We stayed in a bed and breakfast. The white house on the right at the top of the first picture.
The yellow iris by the river looked lovely and I saw some more today in Cambridge on the boundary of the Botanic Garden, growing by Hobson's Conduit.
We also saw some tiny white flowers that only grow on limestone.
Some more photos to follow of views, etc. and one of me soaking my hot feet in the river.
I can recommend a weekend in Derbyshire.
